Welcome to John Krupa's Itch Page
Here you can explore my portfolio of games and projects.
“Breaking Bob” is my twin sticks arcade style city destruction game. I created this in 7 days for LoJam 2025, and in it you operate as a wrecking ball operator named Bob who breaks and decides to destroy the city around him while avoiding the Cops. Inspired by titles like GTA 1 and Hotline Miami for a top down action experience.
Jam Theme: "Break The System"
Jam Winner for "Best in Game Mechanics/Fun"
Jam Winner for "People's Choice" (Highest ratin)
“Plink Down” is my arcade-style game mixing plinko, pinball, and a dash of Balatro. It was created in one week for LoJam 2024, and it challenges you to strategically drop and bounce your way to a high score.
Jam Theme: "Obstacles don't block the way, they are the way"
Check it out and let me know what you think!
“Hot Minute” was my short arcade-survival game where you need to survive for a minute in a hot microwave without falling off the plate. To make it on my own in the limited time frame I got creative and used FMV and photos as textures to create a mixed style. Inspired by the Remedy games "Alan Wake 2" and "Control". Created entirely on my own for GDS Micro Jam 2025 over 48 hours (it may be a little rough).
Jam Theme: "Micro"
It was the Jam Winner for "Most creative use of the theme"
I'm currently working on my thesis project, which seeks to faithfully recreate the site of a historic massacre in Ecuador. My goal is to combine immersive environments and documented research to shed light on a significant event in Ecuador's past.
Stay tuned for more details as the project develops!
Outside of school, I’m working on this project, an open-world city exploration game set in a vertical steampunk world. It’s been a fun challenge as I haven't 3D modelled much in the past and the architecture of Pneumatic City allows for a lot of practice, with its towering districts and intricate tube systems.
The game will focuse on delivering mail, fixing the tube stations, and meeting the residents who make up this unique city. It’s still in the works, but I’m excited to see it come together and share updates as I keep building!
